| The Village of Suttons Bay has activities all year round designed to make visitors feel at home in a small town. They include arts, crafts and antique fairs, farmers market, and the jazz festival. You can bring your boat or rent one to cruise both Suttons Bay, Grand Traverse Bay, and Lake Michigan or the Chain of Lakes. Around the Fourth of July, you also have easy access to the National Cherry Festival in nearby Traverse City. If you like to gamble, a casino is just 5 minutes away. Skiing or golfing at Glen Arbor's Homestead resort is just a twenty minute drive.
Crystal Mountain and the Homestead both offer skiing and snowboarding. Snowtubing at Timberlee Resort (15 miles away) is popular for the whole family. The community ice-skating rink is less than a block away. Touring and tasting wine at some of the numerous wineries is another popular activity in the Leelanau peninsula. The blooming cherry trees in the springtime and the fall colors attract people for hundreds of miles throughout the seasons.
